Kanjigram's kanji-generation logic runs entirely client-side — inside your own browser, using data already loaded onto the page. The name you type is not transmitted to any server or database we operate. We have no way of seeing what names visitors enter, because that step never leaves your device.
We do not require an account, email address, or any other personal information to use the Service.
Like essentially any website, the infrastructure that serves this page automatically logs some technical information for security and operational purposes — this is standard behavior of the hosting provider, not something we built ourselves:
| Source | What it may log |
|---|---|
| Vercel (hosting) | IP address, request timestamp, browser/user-agent string — standard web server access logs. |
| Google Fonts | Typefaces on this page are loaded from Google's font servers. Loading a font, like loading any external resource, sends your IP address to Google as part of that request. See Google's Privacy Policy. |
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand traffic at an aggregate level — how many people visit, which pages, roughly where in the world, on what kind of device. It is cookieless and does not use any persistent identifier: it can't follow you across sites, across visits, or build a profile of you. No data is sold or shared for advertising. This is why the site has no cookie-consent banner — there are no cookies to consent to.
Kanjigram does not currently set cookies or use browser local storage to identify or track you across visits.
The "Save Image" / share feature generates a PNG image on your own device using your browser's Canvas API. That image is never uploaded to our servers — it goes straight from your browser to your download folder, or directly into your device's native share sheet if you choose to share it.
If you use the "Share to X" button, or your device's native share sheet, you are taken to that platform's own service, which has its own separate privacy policy. We don't pass any of your data to those platforms ourselves — the caption text is only pre-filled into a compose window that you choose whether to post.
Kanjigram is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children — since we don't collect personal information from any visitor in the first place. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about a child's use of the Service, feel free to reach out using the contact link below.
Because we do not store personal data on our servers, there is generally nothing on our end to access, correct, or delete. If you believe that has changed, or you have any privacy question, please contact us.
We may update this policy as the Service changes — for example, if we change analytics providers or add paid features. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
